Went for the Drag Show Brunch on Saturday and it was amazing. From start to finish the service and level of professionalism was great. The food was slamming (loved the blueberry French toast and avocado toast), the music fun, the performers gorgeous, and the place was hip. Lots of birthdays in the crowd. There was a customer fall in the bathroom and the show went on despite the staff and paramedics coming; very good example of grace under pressure and impressive to witness from an event manager. My mother and I had a blast at table 24. Go, you will enjoy it! A+ experience!

One thing for sure - Water's Edge does Covid Protocol right! Walking up the stairs to the main entrance you first see a large squirt bottle of hand sanitizer to clean hands before touching the door handle. In the lobby, your temperature is taken and then your driver's license scanned in case they need to notify the county health department to do contact tracing because they learn someone in your party developed Covid symptoms. Then they escort you to a bar stool or table properly distanced from the others. Everyone on staff is masked and gloved. As put to me; "We're dead serious about following protocol. We want to do everything required to keep our restaurant open and keep customers and staff safe." Greatly appreciated! So, we took a table outside on a chilly evening. Not only did we want fresh air to maximize safety, but we wanted to overlook the wide and muddy Bensalem Creek which the new owners had gone great lengths to accentuate with the tri-level deck between the banks of the creek and all glass back wall of the restaurant. On a warmer night in season, this would be almost idyllic. A portable heater was wheeled over to us and sparked on overhead. It took the cold edge off the air, but didn't reach our legs, so we accepted that this would be a somewhat cold experience. Made the night more memorable. We ordered the brussel sprout appetizer (smallish sprouts with bacon and parmesan mixed in), Tuscon Salmon (wild rice and asparagus), and the Five Alarm Burger w Fries (candied jalapeno slices, cheese, and an aioli spread on the brioche-style bun). They were all good, if not knock outs, but better than expected from a kitchen attached to what is fundamentally a sports pub with an excellent view. Service was very gracious and attentive. I felt a bit guilty forcing the young woman to come outside to help us when she lacked any true winter wear. She didn't complain, nor even show she was frigid. I hoped a larger tip would provide evidence we appreciated her effort. Will return with better weather for sure.

My next 'best of' list will have a new category. Best 'when you have to tell your guy you slept with his brother' cheesesteak. At the Water's Edge your guy will be on sensory overload and you will be able to break any bad news to him. Cheesesteak Wrap with French Fries. Yes it is a cheesesteak wrap and I took a point or two off for that. The meat, Ribeye, and cheese work so well together that they could be served on anything and be a top cheesesteak. This Cheesesteak puts the cheese in cheesesteak. Great amount and melt of the cheese. The Carmelized onions do their part. Just for a little flavor and some fat, bacon.

I was looking for a new, somewhat unique spot in or around the NE to take a girlfriend out for her special birthday. I of course wanted outdoor seating because of Covid. I stumbled upon Water's Edge, and it fit all of my criteria! Easy! We sat on the deck overlooking Neshaminy Creek on a gorgeous day. We basically at first had the entire place to ourselves on a weekday. After spending much of the summer alongside bodies of water it was nice and felt like home to see people SUPping by and arriving by boat. This is definitely a nice little bit of an oasis, even if the water is kinda murky looking. My friend started with a frozen marg. It was tangy and pretty decent. We split the spinach artichoke dip with tortilla strips. I asked for some cucumbers and carrots to keep it a bit lighter and our waitress obliged, no issue. Much appreciated! The dip was pretty good. Nothing to rave about. The blue point oysters I ordered were very good and so cheap! $4.50 for three of them! Happy to have seen this option for a lunch app! The price made it even better! I opted for the grilled salmon with mango salsa over barley. It was so delicious! It had a nice crispy, caramelized bottom. No bones. No skin. Just tasty. She ordered the mahi mahi tacos and we split both. They were lightly fried and came with fresh pineapple salsa. A nice dish for sitting in the sun, although I believe some avocado crema or even a little jalapeño aioli would've taken them up a notch! I would order either dish again, with the salmon being a preference. When I arrived I informed the waitress it was my friend's birthday and asked if when I ordered dessert she could present it with a candle. Again, she agreed to my requests without hesitation. I went for the s'mores cheesecake for her, and it was brought to the table with a birthday message written in chocolate sauce. What a nice surprise especially for such a casual spot! I should also mention the slice was massive and decadent. Yum! We had a lovely lunch and although I'm not in this area often, I would definitely keep it in mind for when I am! There are definitely some winners on the menu and the locale was nice!

Wonderful staff, delicious food and great drinks. The staff at the front door took your temperature and had masks on standby in case you didn't have one before entry. The food was so delicious! We tried the pizza and wings for an appetizer (no pic, ate too fast ) I enjoyed the rosemary chicken and my boyfriend had the sticky fried ribs. Everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection.
